CSR CREATION FOR cPANEL SSL CERTIFICATES

1. First, Access your cPanel control panel.

2. Next, Locate and Select the SSL/TLS Manager.

3. Then, Select “Generate, view, upload, or delete your private keys.”

4. Then, go to the bottom of the window and locate the Generate a New Key option. Then, type in your domain that you are using to make your SSL certificate or select it from the menu.

5. Next, Select Generate.

6. Then, Select Return to SSL Manager.

7. Select “Generate, view, or delete SSL certificate signing requests.”

8. Then, within the “Generate a New Certificate Signing Request” window, type in the required information:

HOST: This is your domain that you created when you made your private key.

COUNTRY: This is the two-letter code that represents the country in which your company is based. Click this link to locate your code: https://www.digicert.com/ssl-certificate-country-codes.htm

STATE: This is the state where your organization is based. It must be entered without using abbreviations.

CITY: This is the city where your organization is based.

COMPANY: This is the name of your organization that is legally registered.

COMPANY DIVISION: This is the specific department within your company.

EMAIL: This is your email address where you can be contacted.

Generate a new CSR

PASS PHRASE: This is a password that can be created for your certificate, and make sure you have access to it later.

9. Select Generate, and your CSR will appear.

10. Next, you will copy all for he information from the CSR including everything, and paste it into the DigiCert form.

11. Lastly, you are free to install your certificate after you get your SSL from DigiCert.
