INSTALLING SSL CERTIFICATE IN CISCO ASA 5510


FIRST, INSTALL THE COMODO ROOT CA CERTIFICATE


1. Under the ASDM window, select Configuration and then Device Management.

2. Next, press Certificate Management and click on CA Certificates.

3. Select Add.

4. Then, select “Paste Certificate in PEM Format” and paste the Root certificate into the text box (AddTrustExternalCARoot.crt).

5. Next, select Install Certificate. You will get a confirmation when the installation is complete.

SECOND, INSTALL THE COMODO INTERMEDIATE CA BUNDLE


1. Under the ASDM window, select Configuration and then Device Management.

2. Next, press Certificate Management and click on CA Certificates.

3. Select Add.

4. Then, select “Paste Certificate in PEM Format” and paste the Intermediate CA bundle into the text box (comodo-sha-2-intermediates.ca-bundle).

5. Next, select Install Certificate. There will be a notification on the screen after the installation is complete.

THIRD, INSTALL THE SSL CERTIFICATE


1. Select Configuration, and then Device Management.

2. Next, choose Certificate Management and then Identity Certificates.

3. Click on the identity certificate you made, and press install.

4. Then, paste the certificate data in base-64 format. Also paste your certificate in the text box.

5. Lastly, Select Install Certificate. There will be a notification letting you know the installation is complete.

FOURTH, ACTIVATE THE NEWLY INSTALLED SSL CERTIFICATE FOR USE


1. Press Configuration, and select Device Management.

2. Then, open Advanced and click on SSL Settings.

3. Within Certificates, click on the interface that is used to close the WebVPN sessions.

4. Next, select Edit.

5. Locate the Certificates menu, and select the certificate that you previously installed.

6. Then, select OK and Apply.
