GENERATE CSR FOR CISCO VPN 3000 SERIES CONCENTRATOR


1. First, locate the Administration/Certificate Management window. Then, Select “Click here” to sign up with the Certificate Authority. You will then see The Administration, Certificate Management, and Enroll options.

2. Select Identity Certificate. Then, you will see the options listed in Figure 1 with the addition of the SSL certificate option.

3. Next, Select Enroll via PKCS10 Request (Manual).

4. Then, enter the information necessary in each of the text boxes.

5. Once that is done, Select Enroll. You will then see a Request Generated window is displayed. The Manager shows this window when the CSR has been generated.

TIP: Be sure to complete your enrollment and certificate installation within one week of creating the request, otherwise the request will be eliminated.

6. Now, you have generated a PKCS#10 file that most CAs require. The system will automatically save this information for you saved as pkcsNNNN.txt, to reference later. Also, when you made your request a Private Key was created. This key will be encrypted and stay on the VPN Concentrator.

7. Then, save the request in order to paste it into the CSR request later.

8. Exit out of this web browser when you are done.

9. Now you must create your SSL request. This is the same CA that was given for the CA certificate for this LAN-to-LAN connection. Then, submit the request and include your SSL certificate where needed as directed by your CA.
