CREATE CSR USING SONICWALL SSL OFFLOADER
SONICWALL SSL OFFLOADS SUPPORT CHAINED CERTIFICATES
1. First, you will need to download the OpenSSL software.
2. Next, generate your Certificate Signing Request. You can also create a Private Key and CSR using this command “openssl req -new -des3 -keyout key.pem -out req.pem."
3. Then, you will need to enter the required information:
COUNTRY NAME: This is the two letter code that is associated with your country where the organization is located.
STATE OR PROVINCE NAME: This is the name of your State or Province where your organization is located.
LOCALITY NAME: Type in the name of the city where your organization is located.
ORGANIZATION NAME: Type in the name of your organization.
ORGANIZATIONAL UNIT: Type in the specific department that is associated with your organization.
COMMON NAME: Type in your fully qualified domain name.
EMAIL ADDRESS: Type in your email address where you can be contacted.
CHALLENGE PASSWORD: You can create a password that will be used to install your certificate. It must be at least 6 characters.
OPTIONAL COMPANY NAME: Leave this box empty.
4. Lastly, you have now created your private key and CSR files. You will be prompted to copy and paste these into the necessary fields on the CSR order form.
