cPANEL/WHM: GENERATE CSR (CERTIFICATE SIGNING REQUEST)


INSTALLING SSL CERTIFICATES USING WHM/CPanel
1. Access your WebHost Manager account.

2. Within the SSL/TLS option, Select Generate an SSL Certificate Signing Request.

3. Type in the required information below:

EMAIL: Type in the e-mail address where you can be contacted.

PASSWORD: Type in the password you want for your certificate.

HOST TO MAKE CERT FOR: This is the domain name that you want to use for your certificate. TIP: If you want a Wildcard certificate, add an asterisk on the left side of the common name (domain name).

CITY: This is the city where your company is based.

STATE: This is the state where your company is based. Be sure to type in the full name, without abbreviations.

COUNTRY: Type in the two letter country code for the country where your company is based.

COMPANY NAME: This is the legally registered name of your company. If your signing up as an individual type in your name within the Organization box. Within the Organizational Unit option you can type in your Doing Business As name.

COMPANY DIVISION: This is the specific department name within the company. If it applies to you, you can put your Doing Business As name in that box as well.

KEY SIZE: Choose 2,048 bits.

4. Next, Select Create.

5. Finally, you will need to copy and paste the CSR into your enrollment account.
