MAC OS X YOSEMITE: CREATE CSR
It is important to know that you must first install the intermediate certificate on your server after you have received your SSL Certificate.

TO INSTALL AND CONFIGURE YOUR SSL CERTIFICATE:

i. MAC OS X YOSEMITE: HOW TO INSTALL THE INTERMEDIATE CERTIFICATE


1. Save the Zip file your_domain_com.zip onto your server, the SSL Certificate file (your_domain_com.crt), and the DigiCert Intermediate Certificate file (DigiCertCA.crt) to a folder.

2. Open DigiCertCA.crt.

3. Within the ADD CERTIFICATES tab, click on the Keychain menu and CLICK on SYSTEM. Next, press ADD.

4. Enter the ADMINISTRATOR’S password to authorize the change.

1. Click on the folder with your SSL Certificate file (yourdomain_com.crt). Make sure you keep this folder open for reference later.

2. Select the Server App. This is located in Finder, listed under Favorites select Applications and press Server.

3. Within the Server App, under Choose a Mac you can choose one of the following options in order to choose which server you would like to install your SSL Certificate.

To install SSL on this server:

i. Click THIS MAC: YourServerName and then press CONTINUE.

ii. Type in your ADMINISTRATOR NAME and ADMINISTRATOR PASSWORD and then press ALLOW.

To install SSL on another server:

i. Click OTHER MAC: YourServerName and then press CONTINUE.

ii. Type in your HOST NAME/IP ADDRESS, your ADMINISTRATOR NAME and ADMINISTRATOR PASSWORD and then press ALLOW.

4. Within the SERVER APP, under SERVER, select CERTIFICATES.

5. When on the CERTIFICATES page, locate and select the PENDING certificate that you made when creating the CSR.

6. Still on the CERTIFICATES page (i.e. www.yourdomain.com), locate CERTIFICATE FILES, and then Drag files received from your certificate vendor here box, and then drag and drop your SSL Certificate file (yourdomain_com.crt).

7. Press OK.

Click OK

iii. MAC OS X YOSEMITE: HOW TO ASSIGN YOUR SSL CERTIFICATE TO SERVICES

1. Open the Server App, and under Server select CERTIFICATES.

2. Within the CERTIFICATES page, tap on the SECURE SERVICES USING menu, and press CUSTOM.

3. Then, under the SERVICE CERTIFICATES tab select the CERTIFICATE menu and choose your new SSL Certificate for each Service you want to assign it.

For example, within the Certificate menu list for Websites (Server Website-SSL), choose your new SSL Certificate.

4. After this is completed, SELECT OK.

5. After completing the above steps, you have officially installed, configured, and assigned your SSL Certificate to your chosen Services.
